Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the GoonSync mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service
GoonSync is a social productivity application that allows users to:
- Track focused work sessions
- Earn experience points (XP) and level up
- Join circles with friends for collaborative productivity
- Compete on global and circle-based leaderboards
- Unlock achievements and track progress
- View analytics about productivity patterns
User Accounts
To use GoonSync, you must create an account by providing:
- A valid email address
- A unique username
- A secure password
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
Age requirements vary by region:
- Australia: 15 years or older
- South Korea: 15 years or older
- Brazil: 18 years or older
- All other regions: 16 years or older
By using GoonSync, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement for your region.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use GoonSync only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use offensive, inappropriate, or misleading usernames or bios
- Harass, bully, or harm other users
- Attempt to manipulate XP, achievements, or leaderboard rankings through cheating or exploits
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use automated tools or bots to interact with the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Upload malicious code or viruses
- Reverse engineer or decompile the App
- Use the App to spam or send unsolicited communications
User Content and Conduct
By using GoonSync, you may create content such as usernames, bios, and circle names. You agree that:
- You own or have rights to any content you create
- Your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
- Your content is not offensive, discriminatory, or harmful
- We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice
- We are not responsible for user-generated content
Social Features and Circles
When you join or create circles:
- Your sync activity becomes visible to circle members
- You can leave circles at any time
- Circle hosts can remove members
- You can be a member of up to 3 circles
- Each circle can have a maximum of 6 members
- Circle hosts are responsible for managing their circle's membership
Leaderboards and Public Information
By using GoonSync, you acknowledge that:
- Your username, level, and XP are publicly visible
- Your rankings appear on public leaderboards
- Other users can see your position and stats
- This information is essential to the App's social features
If you do not want this information to be public, do not use the App.
XP and Achievements
Experience points (XP) and achievements in GoonSync:
- Have no real-world monetary value
- Cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged
- Are calculated based on session duration and completion
- May be adjusted if cheating or exploits are detected
- Are subject to our modification at any time
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- You engage in fraudulent or harmful activity
- You attempt to cheat or manipulate the system
- We are required to do so by law
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion:
- Your personal data will be removed within 30 days
- Your leaderboard history will show "Deleted User"
- This action is permanent and cannot be undone
Intellectual Property
GoonSync and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Use our trademarks or branding without permission
- Create derivative works based on the App
Third-Party Services
GoonSync uses third-party services including:
- Supabase for authentication and data storage
- Analytics services to improve the App
These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
GoonSync is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- All data will be accurately stored or preserved
- The App will meet your specific needs
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or productivity
- Damages resulting from use or inability to use the App
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoonSync, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Posting a notice in the App
- Sending an email for significant changes
Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue features at any time
- Update XP calculations or achievement requirements
- Change leaderboard algorithms
- Add or remove functionality
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of GoonSync shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between the parties
- Mediation if negotiation fails
- Binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GoonSync regarding the use of the App.
