GoonSync is a social productivity app. Here's how your information is shared:
- Public Information: Your username, level, XP, and leaderboard rankings are visible to all GoonSync users as part of the app's core social features
- Circle Information: Members of your circles can see your sync activity, session durations, and circle-specific statistics
- Private Information: Your email address, password, and personal contact information are never shared with other users
- Third-Party Services: We use Supabase Inc, for secure data storage, authentication, and database services. Supabase's privacy policy applies to their services
- No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols
- Passwords are securely hashed using industry-standard algorithms and never stored in plain text

- Communication Preferences: You can manage notification settings in the app
Children's Privacy
GoonSync has age restrictions that vary by region:
- Australia: 15 years or older
- South Korea: 15 years or older
- Brazil: 18 years or older
- All other regions: 16 years or older
We do not knowingly collect personal information from users below the minimum age for their region. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected information from a child below the applicable age limit, please contact us immediately at admin@goonsync.com and we will delete such information.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account:
- Your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained for analytics and service improvement
- Leaderboard history will display "Deleted User" instead of your username to maintain historical integrity
- Circle activity history may be retained in anonymized form
International Data Transfers
Your information is stored on servers operated by Supabase, which uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. Your data may be stored in AWS regions located in the United States. By using GoonSync, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than Australia.
We take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles, including ensuring our service providers maintain appropriate security standards.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify users of material changes by:

- Posting a prominent notice in the app
- Sending an email notification for significant changes that affect your rights
